Wuthering Bites was conceived by us (Steph and Sue) as a way to share all of the books that our book club had read since its inception in 1992. In addition to our love of great literature, we have a shared passion for tasty food. A Web site seemed like the natural forum for sharing our interests, opinions and recipes. Literature and food are never-ending sources of inspiration and the book club continues to meet regularly to this day. We hope you'll come back often to check out the new reviews, recipes and other features that will be added to the site on a regular basis.
A special shout-out to our friend Katy who thought of the name Wuthering Bites during a late-night brainstorm. Runners-up included: "War and Peas" and "As I Lay Frying." And thanks also to Courtney, a former book club member, who helped out with the original logo. The food photography for the navigation bar on the Eat pages was taken by chef and aspiring food photographer, Megan Johnson.
We'd love to hear from you as we continue to grow! Feedback, suggestions, and shared experiences are always welcome.
